haha okayy that was so random. i took it off from my brother's notes. chinese new year is coming soon!! hmm it feels quite weird though, cuz there's no chinese new year atmosphere! u noe, when we were still in school, there are always cny decorations/activities going on in school, which at least makes it feel like the festive season. but now that i'm out of school, i no longer feel it. BUT, yesterday, our lady boss from bongout gave EACH OF US one BIG BAG OF MANDARIN ORANGES! omg i thought she bought it for the customers or for some special menu during cny. but no, it was for the staff! how nice of her! hehe... each of us got like 10+ oranges each! BUT... yesterday was a sad day at work. cuz i made many mistakes again! ahhh.. why why why. u noe we are supposed to serve the customers their drinks IMMEDIATELY after they finish ordering. but i went to the toilet to sms. den i FORGOT. aiyaa... not my fault wad! the customer said, "iranai (no need)" when i asked for his drink. hahaha (by rights, i'm supposed to get them either green tea or iced water if they don't want any drinks.)
in the end, my lady boss came over and said, "dennis, shikkari shite ne. mechamecha machigatterune... blah blah blah" hahaha to be honest, i only heard these few words. and i couldn't comprehend wad she said after that. but that was enough, basically, she was scolding me for making so many mistakes on the day. and she asked me to be serious! haha (btw she didnt' scream at me)
anywayy on a happier note, i went shopping today! cuz i realized i still have my kinokuniya voucher FOR PARTICIPATING AND NOT GETTING INTO THE FINALS OF THE SPEECH CONTEST. how sad. i wanted to use the voucher quick so tt i won't be reminded that i didn't get into the finals of the speech contest!! boohoo... anyway, shopping is SO BORING. hahaha i couldn't ask for advices or comments when choosing books. so in the end, i had to resort to "talking to myself" to reason out my choices. so in the end, i bought a book on kotowaza and two books on SAYURI! memoirs of a geisha! everyone said that i was stupid to buy it in japanese cuz firstly, it's going to be very hard to understand and secondly, the english version has ONE book, whereas the japanese version has TWO books, which means i have to pay double the price. thirdly, the original is in english, so if i read the translated japanese version, i'll be lost in translation! BUT ANYWAY, I BOUGHT THE BOOK NOT CUZ OF THE STORY, BUT CUZ OF THE JAPANESE. HAHA.. who cares.
